WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FOR MONDAY EVENING THOUGH TUESDAY EVEING
THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY IN THE TRACK OF THIS STORM...WHICH MAY AFFECT PRECIPITATION TYPES AND THE POTENTIAL FOR SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS AT ANY GIVEN LOCATION. THIS STORM HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CREATE VERY HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN OLNEY HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING.
A MIX OF SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA TUESDAY AS A STORM SYSTEM APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTH EAST. THE PRECIPITATION WILL START OFF AS RAIN AND CHANGE TO MAINLY FREEZING RAIN THEN TO SNOW BY EVEING. BY AFTERNOON. ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF A QUARTER INCH OR MORE WILL BE POSSIBLE BY MONDAY EVENING. THE PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO CHANGE TO PRIMARILY SNOW BY DAWN TUESDAY
A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW...SLEET...AND/OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT WOULD SERIOUSLY IMPACT TRAVEL. MONITOR LATER FORECASTS FOR UPDATES.
