AT 500 AM AST...0900Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM OMAR WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 26.0 NORTH...LONGITUDE 56.4 WEST OR ABOUT 670 MILES...1075 KM...SOUTHEAST OF BERMUDA.
OMAR IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST NEAR 25 MPH...41 KM/HR...AND THIS GENERAL MOTION WITH A GRADUAL DECREASE IN FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED TO NEAR 60 MPH...95 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. SOME ADDITIONAL WEAKENING IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.
