AT 1100 PM AST...0300Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM OMAR WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 23.8 NORTH...LONGITUDE 58.1 WEST OR ABOUT 505 MILES...810 KM...NORTHEAST OF THE NORTHERN LEEWARD ISLANDS AND ABOUT 715 MILES...1150 KM...SOUTHEAST OF BERMUDA.
OMAR IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST NEAR 25 MPH...41 KM/HR. A GENERAL MOTION TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHEAST WITH SOME DECREASE IN FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED TO NEAR 70 MPH... 110 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. SOME ADDITIONAL WEAKENING IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
