AT 1100 AM AST...1500Z...THE CENTER OF LAURA WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 46.5 NORTH...LONGITUDE 46.5 WEST OR ABOUT 315 MILES...505 KM...EAST OF CAPE RACE NEWFOUNDLAND.
LAURA IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHEAST NEAR 18 MPH...30 KM/HR. A TURN TO THE NORTHEAST IS EXPECTED WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS FOLLOWED BY A TURN TO THE EAST.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 45 MPH...75 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. EVEN THOUGH LAURA IS NO LONGER A TROPICAL CYCLONE...IT IS EXPECTED TO MAINTAIN ITS STRENGTH AS AN EXTRATROPICAL LOW FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
