EXPECTED SATURDAY...
.A DEVELOPING WINTER STORM SYSTEM WILL LIFT NORTHEAST OUT OF THE
CENTRAL ROCKIES ON SATURDAY...PASSING THROUGH IOWA SATURDAY NIGHT.
AS THE STORM APPROACHES...WARM AND VERY MOIST AIR WILL LIFT OVER
VERY COLD AIR IN PLACE ACROSS THE MID MISSISSIPPI VALLEY. THIS
WILL SPREAD PRECIPITATION IN THE FORM OF SLEET...FREEZING RAIN AND
SNOW ACROSS EASTERN IOWA...NORTHWEST ILLINOIS AND NORTHEAST
MISSOURI ON SATURDAY. SIGNIFICANT ICE AND SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL
BE POSSIBLE SATURDAY AND SATURDAY EVENING BEFORE THE PRECIPITATION
CHANGES OVER TO RAIN.

STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH
SATURDAY EVENING.
A MIX OF SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE
AREA SATURDAY AS A STORM SYSTEM APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTHWEST.
THE PRECIPITATION WILL GRADUALLY CHANGE TO MAINLY FREEZING RAIN
BY AFTERNOON. ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF A QUARTER INCH OR MORE WILL BE
POSSIBLE BY SATURDAY EVENING. THE PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO
CHANGE TO PRIMARILY RAIN SATURDAY NIGHT AS TEMPERATURES RISE ABOVE
