URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 881 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER OLNEY MD 635 AM CDT TUE SEP 2 2008 THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI COASTAL WATERS EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY MORNING AND AFTERNOON FROM 635 AM UNTIL 400 PM CDT. TORNADOES...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 20 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST OF GREENWOOD MISSISSIPPI TO 10 MILES SOUTH SOUTHWEST OF HOUMA LOUISIANA.
