AT 500 PM AST...2100Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM HANNA WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 20.7 NORTH...LONGITUDE 60.1 WEST OR ABOUT 260 MILES...420 KM...NORTHEAST OF THE NORTHERN LEEWARD ISLANDS.
HANNA IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST NEAR 12 MPH...19 KM/HR. A TURN TOWARD THE NORTHWEST IS EXPECTED TONIGHT OR FRIDAY. ON THE FORECAST TRACK...HANNA WILL MOVE AWAY FROM THE NORTHERN LEEWARD ISLANDS AND BE CENTERED WELL TO THE NORTHEAST OF THE BAHAMAS DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 40 MPH...65 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. LITTLE CHANGE IN STRENGTH IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.
