Tropical depression forms in the central north atlantic,
At 500 pm edt, 2100z, the center of tropical depression fifteen was located near latitude 30.1 north, longitude 50.5 west or about 860 miles, 1380 km, east of bermuda.
The depression is moving toward the east-northeast near 15 mph, 25 km/hr. An eastward motion at a slower forward speed is expected over the next 24 hours.
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph, 55 km/hr, with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 24 hours.
Estimated minimum central pressure is 1011 mb, 29.85 inches.
Repeating the 500 pm edt position, 30.1 n, 50.5 w. Movement toward, east-northeast near 15 mph. Maximum sustained winds, 35 mph. Minimum central pressure, 1011 mb.
The next advisory will be issued by the national hurricane center at 1100 pm edt.
