URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 791 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER OLNEY MD 1035 AM EDT SAT AUG 2 2008 THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT DELAWARE EASTERN MARYLAND NEW JERSEY SOUTHEAST NEW YORK EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA COASTAL WATERS EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY MORNING AND EVENING FROM 1035 AM UNTIL 600 PM EDT. HAIL TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 85 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 30 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST OF BRIDGEPORT CONNECTICUT TO 35 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF DOVER DELAWARE.
