AT 500 PM EDT...2100Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM CRISTOBAL WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 37.1 NORTH...LONGITUDE 71.4 WEST OR ABOUT 265 MILES...425 KM...EAST-NORTHEAST OF CAPE HATTERAS NORTH CAROLINA AND ABOUT 660 MILES...1060 KM...SOUTHWEST OF HALIFAX NOVA SCOTIA.
CRISTOBAL IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST NEAR 13 MPH...20 KM/HR... AND THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TOMORROW WITH SOME INCREASE IN FORWARD SPEED. A TURN TOWARD THE EAST-NORTHEAST IS FORECAST ON WEDNESDAY.
