AT 1100 AM EDT...1500Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM CRISTOBAL WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 36.6 NORTH...LONGITUDE 72.6 WEST OR ABOUT 190 MILES...305 KM...EAST-NORTHEAST OF CAPE HATTERAS NORTH CAROLINA AND ABOUT 725 MILES...1170 KM...SOUTHWEST OF HALIFAX NOVA SCOTIA.
CRISTOBAL IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST NEAR 13 MPH...20 KM/HR... AND THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS WITH AN INCREASE IN FORWARD SPEED.
