The NWS in sterling Virginia has issued a
severe thunderstorm warning for: northwestern howard county in central Maryland, montgomery county in central Maryland, south central carroll county in north central Maryland, southeastern frederick county in north central Maryland, northwestern fairfax county in northern Virginia, central fauquier county in northern Virginia, southeastern loudoun county in northern Virginia, northwestern prince william county in northern Virginia,
Until 845 pm edt.
At 751 pm edt, national weather service doppler radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms. These storms were located along a line extending from green valley to 10 miles west of haymarket, and moving east at 28 mph.
Locations impacted include, poolesville, mount airy, damascus, boyds, ashburn, germantown, haymarket, countryside, arcola, dulles international airport,
Wind gusts to 60 mph can be expected in the warned area. Stay indoors and away from windows until the storm has passed.
