BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OLNEY MD 615 PM EDT FRI JUL 04 2008
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN OLNEY MARYLAND HAS ISSUED A
* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR... ST MARYS COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL MARYLAND
* UNTIL 715 PM EDT
* AT 615 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LARGE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. LOCATED WEST OF NEWBURG MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH.
• THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT THE FOLLOWING AREAS • NEWBURG, COBB ISLAND, CHAPTICO,LEONARDTOWN,CALIFORNIA, CALLAWAY, ST MARYS CITY, RIDGE, POINT LOOKOUT.
THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING WIND DAMAGE. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK SHELTER NOW INSIDE A STURDY STRUCTURE AND STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS!
