HURRICANE IRENE UPDATE
HURRICANE IRENE ON TRACK FOR A WILIMINGTON NC LANDFALL MODEL GUIDANCE NOW INDICATES IRENE WILL MAKE LANDFALL AS A CATEGORY 3 HURRICANE IN WILIMINGTON NC IRENE IS FORECASTED TO PEEK AT WINDS AT 135 MPH OR CATEGORY 4 STRENTH..
ITS AFFECT ON THE MID ATLNTIC WOULD BE HEAVY RAIN AND WINDS OF TROPICAL STORM FORCE MAYBE HURRICANE FORCE WINDS DEPENDING HOW FAST ITS MOVEING THE TIME WOULD BE SUNDAY NIGHT AND INTO MONDAY MORNING.
STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES ON CATEGORY 2 HURRICANE IRENE AT THIS TIME IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL BE SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING TO MONDAY DURRING THE DAY AS THE STORM MOVES NORTH AND NORTH EAST OVER THE MIDATLANTIC AREA WE WILL KNOW MORE AS IT GETS CLOSER TO THE TIME FOR THE HURRICANE TO MAKE LANDFALL ITS OVER THE BAHAMA’S RIGHT NOW SOUTHERN BAHAMA’S AND MOVEING WNW AT ABOUT 12 MPH THE FORECASTS WILL GET REFINED AS THINGS GET CLOSER TO THE TIME OF THE LANDFALL OF IRENE STAY TUNED TO UPDATES.
