TROPICAL WEATHER STATEMENT ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER OLNEY MD 605 PM FRI AUG 12 2011
TROPICAL CYCLONE POSSIBLE FORMATION
NOAA HURRICANE HUNTER PLANES HAVE JUST REACHED THE SHARP TROUGH AND HAS FOUND A CLOSED CIRCULATION AND WINDS BELOW TROPICAL DEPRESSION SPEED HAVE BEEN SEEN BY THE SFMR AND FLIGHT LEVEL WINDS OF 35 KTS OR 40 MPH HAVE BEEN SEEN BY THE AIRCRAFT. PRESSURES REMAIN FAIRLY HIGH BUT REASONING IS AS THE LOW DEVELOPS THE PRESSURES WILL START FALLING.
WE WILL MONITOR THIS POTENTAL TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IN THE ATANTIC NORTH EAST OF THE CARRIBBIAN AND PUERTO RICO. RESIDENTS IN THE ISLANDS SHOULD NOT BE TO CONSURNED OF THE STORMS APPROCH OR NOT ITS HEADING WNW AT ABOUT 15 TO 20 MPH OR SO.
