* AT 309 PM EDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED FLASH FLOODING FROM THIS THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY...WITH REPORTS OF A VEHICLE BEING WASHED OFF A ROADWAY.
* LOCATIONS AFFECTED BY THE HEAVY RAIN INCLUDE AREAS ALONG THE I-95 CORRIDOR IN BETWEEN THE WASHINGTON AND BALTIMORE BELTWAY AREAS. MUCH OF NORTHERN MONTGOMERY...SOUTHERN HOWARD AND AREAS TO THEIR EAST WILL BE AFFECTED.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
