...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 11 AM EDT TUESDAY...
STRONG WINDS ON THE BACK SIDE OF A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING NORTHEAST OFF THE DELMARVA WILL CONTRIBUTE TO RISING WATER LEVELS OVER EASTERN COASTAL LOCATIONS OF THE MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE. THIS WILL CAUSE MODERATE COASTAL FLOODING AROUND THE TIME OF HIGH TIDE THIS AFTERNOON...AND POSSIBLY AGAIN LATE TONIGHT INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.
TIDE LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE TO 2 TO 2.5 FEET ABOVE NORMAL THIS AFTERNOON AND AGAIN OVERNIGHT. THE FOLLOWING ARE THE TIMES AND FORECASTED LEVELS OF HIGH TIDES AT OCEAN CITY PIER... WITH THE TIDE LEVELS REFERENCED TO MEAN LOWER LOW WATER.

A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT. COASTAL RESIDENTS IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RISING WATER...AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY.
