MOVE YOUR CAR TO HIGHER GROUND PRIOR TO HIGH TIDE TODAY AND
TONIGHT...
.LOW PRESSURE OVER THE CHESAPEAKE BAY WILL MOVE SLOWLY OFF THE NEW
JERSEY SHORE LATER TODAY WITH STRONG EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS
THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY.

THE TIDE WILL BUILD UP THE DELAWARE BAY AND DELAWARE RIVER FOR
THIS MORNING`S COMMUTE AND CONNTINUE GETTING HIGHER THROUGH TONIGHT.
THE TIDAL LEVEL ALONE WILL REACH MINOR AND THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE
IT COULD REACH MODERATE LEVELS OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS AT THE TIMES
OF HIGH TIDE.
THIS WILL IMPACT THE PEAK TIMES FOR COMMUTING THIS MORNING AND
AGAIN THIS EVENING. PLEASE DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR IN THE VULNERABLE
FLOOD AREAS ADJACENT TO THE DELAWARE RIVER AND NEVER DRIVE THROUGH
FLOODED STREETS.

FOR PHILADELPHIA... THE NEXT HIGH TIDE OCCURS AT 8:22 AM TODAY AND
IS FORECAST TO BE AROUND 9.0 FEET ABOVE MLLW. HIGH TIDE IS AGAIN
AT 9:06 PM TONIGHT AND IS FORECAST TO BE 8.0 TO 8.5 FEET ABOVE
MLLW. HIGH TIDE TUESDAY MORNING OCCURS AT 9:23 AM AND IS FORECAST
TO BE AROUND 8.0 FEET ABOVE MLLW.
FOR BREAKWATER HARBOR DELAWARE... THE NEXT HIGH TIDE WILL BE AT 3:52
PM THIS AFTERNOON WITH A FORECAST NEAR 7.5 FEET ABOVE MLLW. HIGH
TIDE IS AGAIN AT 4:13 AM TUESDAY WITH A FORECAST AT 6.5 TO 7.0
FEET ABOVE MLLW... AND 4:56 PM TUESDAY WITH A FORECAST AT 6.5 FEET
ABOVE MLLW.
A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT. PERSONS
LIVING ALONG THE DELAWARE RIVER ADJACENT TO TRIBUTARIES AND
ROADWAYS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RISING WATER... AND TAKE APPROPRIATE
ACTION TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY.
THE FLOODING THAT IS EXPECTED IS PRIMARILY FROM THE TIDAL EFFECTS
ON THE DELAWARE RIVER. SOME HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED AND IF IT
COINCIDES WITH THE TIMES OF HIGH TIDE... IT WILL EXACERBATE THE
STREET FLOODING.
