...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 12 NOON TUESDAY TO 12 NOON EST WEDNESSDAY ...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN OLNEY MD HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR FREEZING RAIN...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM TUESDAY TO 12 NOON EST WEDNESSDAY . THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
* PRECIPITATION TYPE: FREEZING RAIN.
* ACCUMULATIONS: 1 QUARTER TO 1 HALF INCH .
* TIMING: BEGINNING TUESDAY BY LATE AFTERNOON AND LASTING UNTIL AROUND NOON WEDNESSDAY. THE GREATEST INTENSITY WILL BE TUESDAY EVENING AND NIGHT. CHANGING OVER TO ALL RAIN WEDNESSDAY AT AFTERNOON BEFORE ENDING.
* IMPACTS: TRAVEL WILL BECOME HAZARDOUS DUE TO SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS OF FREEZEING RAIN.
* WINDS: NORTHERLY WINDS INCREASING TO 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS OVER 40 MPH EXPECTED.
