A weak area of high pressure has settled overhead is making for a very pleasant afternoon with partly cloudy skies and highs in the lower 70s. Expect mainly clear skies overnight with mild temperatures falling back into the upper 40s in the suburbs to mid 50s in town.
Continued tranquil weather should hang around through the day on Tuesday and into Wednesday with highs nearing the mid 70s tomorrow, then near 80 degrees by Wednesday under partly cloudy skies. Thursday may bring a few added clouds ahead of an area of low pressure with continued warm temperatures once again near the 80 degree mark. There may even be an isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening hours, with the best chance closer to the mountains.
Overnight Thursday and into Friday morning is when the next area of precipitation is expected and should exit our area by Friday afternoon. More changes are expected for the weekend with a brief stint of pleasant weather for Saturday with highs in the lower 70s, then another shortwave trough moves overhead for more unsettled and rainy conditions Sunday. As usual, the extended outlook to the weekend is subject to change as it is only Monday. We will continue to try to narrow it down as it gets closer in time. Enjoy this nice weather through the first half of the week.
