SPECAL WEATHER STATEMENT NOAA NATIONAL WEATHER SERIVCE OLNEY MARYLAND 330 PM EST JAN 20 2011 POTENTAL WINTER STORM FOR NEXT TUESDAY INTO WEDNESSDAY ….. MODELS ARE STILL DIVERGENT ON EXACT TRACK OF THE COASTAL LOW HOWEVER THERE COULD BE A CHANCE OF SIGNIFIGANT SNOW OR ICE ACCUMULATION IN THE MID ATLANTIC AREA . THE MODEL CONCENTIOUS IS TO HAVE IT COME CLOSER TO THE COAST LINE THAN PREVIOUS STORMS IF IT DEVATES FROM THIS TRACK WE WILL GET LESS SNOW AND ICE IF ITS CLOSER OR ON THE COAST THEN THE WARM AIR WILL CHANGE THE PRECIPITATION TO ALL RAIN … WE ARE MONITORING THIS AS A POTENTAL WINTER STORM FOR TUESDAY AND WEDNESSDAY STAY TUNED TO WEATHER NEWS AND WWW.NWS.NOAA.GOV ALL LOWER CASE FOR FURTHER UPDATES.
