THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN OLNEY HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY 10 AM TUSEDAY THROUGH 10 AM WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE SNOW ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT
* PRECIPITATION TYPE: SNOW.
* ACCUMULATIONS: 4 INCHES OR MORE.
* TIMING: THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO SPREAD FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST DURING TUESDAY MORNING FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST OVER THE WASHINGTON METRO AREA BY LATE MORNING AND BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES DURRING THE AFTERNOON AND EVEING .
* IMPACTS: SNOW WOULD STICK TO ROADWAYS, ESPECIALLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY UNTREATED ONES. SNOWFALL RATES WOULD CAUSE THE VISIBILITY TO DROP TO OR BELOW ONE-HALF MILE FOR A PERIOD OF TIME. DRIVING WOULD BECOME HAZARDOUS.
