THE DEPRESSION IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST NEAR 8 MPH...13 KM/HR. A TURN TOWARD THE NORTHWEST IS EXPECTED WITHIN THE NEXT DAY OR SO. ON THE FORECAST TRACK...THE CENTER WILL EMERGE INTO THE SOUTHWEST GULF OF MEXICO ON TUESDAY MORNING.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED TO NEAR 35 MPH...55 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. ADDITIONAL WEAKENING IS EXPECTED...AND RICHARD WILL LIKELY BECOME A REMNANT LOW IN A DAY OR TWO.
