CHESAPEAKE BAY...TIDAL POTOMAC RIVER...AND ADJACENT COUNTIES IN
CENTRAL MARYLAND AND NORTHERN VIRGINIA AS WELL AS THE DISTRICT OF
COLUMBIA.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON.
GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL PROMOTE RAPID DRYING WITH MINIMUM
RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES DROPPING TO AROUND 20 PERCENT. RECENT
RAINFALL HAS ALLOWED FUEL MOISTURE VALUES TO COME UP A
BIT...HOWEVER FUELS COULD DRY OUT RATHER QUICKLY. ONLY LIMITING
FACTOR FOR A RED FLAG WARNING WILL BE THE WINDS WHICH ARE EXPECTED
TO DECREASE THROUGH THE DAY.
