URGENT IMIDATE BROADCAST REQUESTED HURRICANE EARL LOCAL STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OLNEY MD 3:30 PM EDT WED SEPT 1,2010
LARGE HURRICANE EARL CONTINUES TO HEAD TOWARD THE COAST OF VIRGINIA AND NORTH CAROLINA TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD ABOUT 300 MILES AND THE WASHINGTON BALTIMORE AREA COULD SEE WINDS OF 35 TO 40 MILES PER HOUR FROM HURRICANE EARL, DEPENDING ON HOW CLOSE IT PASSES TO THE DELAWARE MARYLAND COASTS THE TIADL POTOMAC COULD SEE WINDS 35 TO 50 MPH WHILE ALL OTHER AREAS COULD SEE WINDS 35 TO 40 MPH THIS COULD BRING DOWN WEAK TREES AND LIMBS AND CAUSE POWER OUTAGES STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR LOCAL MEDIA FOR UPDATES ON THIS HURRICANE.
