The NWS in Olney Maryland has issued a winter weather advisory, which is in effect until 6 am est saturday.
Temperatures will remain near or below freezing for much of northern maryland and portions of northern virginia, and the west virginia panhandle today. Another round of frozen precipitation is expected overnight tonight. Light accumulations of freezing rain and sleet are expected across the advisory area this afternoon and overnight.
A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
