URGENT-WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OLNEY,MD
4:50 PM EST FRIDAY DECEMBER 18,2009
Winter storm warning still in effect from Midnight tonight to 6 am EST sunday. Precipitation will start by evening rush and gradualy intensify as the storm moves closer to our area the latest model runs show it to be a major snow event for the mid atlantic reagon latest model guidence indicates that the show that will fall will accumulate 10 to 15 inches with points south and east of the area getting as much as 20 inches and the clap of thunder will be possible in some of the snow's heavier bands but the total is expected to be 10 to 15 inches of snow in the area of the winter storm warning for the area driveing will be close to impossible as road ways will be slick and snow covered .
Winter storm warning means that severe winter weather is expcted or occuring your winter preparidness should be complete
